Farida Aslam, Plaid Cymru

Plaid Cymru PPC (Cardiff South & Penarth),
Farida Aslam's endorsement and reply

Do you agree in principle with the aforementioned policy?

Answer - "Absolutely - Plaid Cymru is committed to the creation of a fairer society and commits itself completely to this".

In a generic sense, do you believe that the rich should pay more tax and the poor should pay less tax?

Answer - "Social mobilty and the gap between the rich and the poor needs to be addressed; this is one way in which we can make inroads into making our society much fairer. Closing tax loopholes also needs to be addressed".

If you are elected as an MP, do you pledge to campaign for income tax reform at the next parliament?

Answer - "Reform is a must - I am standing in a constituency with the highest child poverty rate in Wales. I am fully committed to ensuring that the income tax reforms such as you propose are implemented, in order to create a fairer society in which everyone can prosper".
